SOS SAHEL is an international NGO whose vocation, for the last 40 years, has been to improve the living conditions of the population at the heart of Africa. SOS SAHEL has developed numerous farming and agroforestry methods adapted to drylands. Finally, SOS SAHEL’s actions embrace many drivers of development from training and funding farmers, to storing and selling harvests.

Livelihoods is a voluntary carbon investment fund created by private companies. The fund invests in large scale projects of ecosystems restoration, agroforestry and rural energy. These projects, led by local organizations, are the basis of farming communities’ food security and revenues. In Africa, Livelihoods already has three projects in Kenya, in Senegal and in Burkina Faso. Finally, Livelihoods has planted more than 130 million trees benefiting to nearly 1 million people.
